Introduction to API Keys

API keys are essential for allowing external applications or users to securely interact with your Singular MMP data. A limited access API key ensures that a user can only access specific data points or functionalities, enhancing security and data governance.


Process

Step 1: Create a user

  1. Log in to your Singular MMP dashboard

  2. Use this guide to set up a new user, ensure to choose restricted user

  3. Choose an email address for the restricted user

    1. Use a +kohort alias on your own domain - for example, [email protected]. Most providers route these to the base inbox automatically, so no new account is needed.

    2. If your email provider doesn't support +aliases, create a dedicated address like [email protected] instead.

Step 2: Configure Access

  • When setting up, the user creation wizard will appear when you choose to add a restricted user. It will give you a screen that looks like the below

  1. We require the following as a minimum:

    1. Apps:

      1. All apps that you want forecasts for in Ktrl web app

    2. Data Sources

      1. Any Source that you want predictions for

    3. Metrics

      1. adn_impressions (Network Impressions)

      2. Adn_clicks (Network Clicks)

      3. custom_installs

      4. Tracker_reengagements (Re-Engagements)

      5. adn_installs

      6. adn_cost

      7. Revenue

      8. Original Revenue

      9. Ad Revenue

      10. Retained Users

      11. Custom events (as many as you feel comfortable sharing, the more the better as will help with model accuracy

    4. Screens

      1. We require the ‘Reporting API key’ Screen

      2. If you would like to allow us to QA the data against the dashboard then please give us access to the reports screen

Step 3: Collect the API Key

  • We can collect the API key once the restricted account is set up
